The main house is a big stone building
built on the principals of Feng Shui. All ten rooms are painted a
different colour and cover the four elements - Earth, Wind, Fire and
Water - root yourself inside the
green room or booster your energy sleeping in red. Trendy lamps
from Switzerland sit atop locally made bamboo tables, beds are raised
futons and all rooms have en suite bathrooms and iron balconies with
enriching mountain views.
|
|
|
There is a
wonderfully authentic top floor meditation room, complete with
traditional Buddhist altar and glass windows looking out to mountains. A
perfect place for your own yoga or meditation practice, or an
introduction to meditation can be arranged.
|
|
There's also a special room for herbal
baths - soak in one infused with lemon-grass from the garden, lit by
candle light and with a relaxing herbal tea. Foot massage is also on
offer, and workshops available on request include basket weaving,
cooking and sikkimese language classes and Tibetan mandala painting with
a Thangka Master.
