About Ratan Vilas
Built in 1920, by Maharaj Ratan Singhji of Raoti, a
keen horse lover and one of the greatest polo players of his time,
Ratan Vilas with its imposing but delicately carved exterior and
simple yet comfortable interiors, is a genuine heritage edifice in a
sylvan setting.
The villa, reminiscent of the romance of the bygone era, has been
converted into a hotel, with the exception that it also continues to
be the home to the grandson of Late Maharaj Ratan Singhji, Maharaj
Bharat Singhji and his family.
So, whether you are in the formal drawing room admiring the family
portraits and photographs or unwinding in the casual surroundings of
the courtyard; whether you are savouring the traditional delicacies in
the dinning room or bird watching in the garden wreathed with seasoned
Neem trees housing about twenty different species of birds, the family
is always around to offer you the legendary Rajput hospitality blended
with a cheerful and homely atmosphere.
In a nutshell, "Ratan Vilas as
a place to stay will impress you as being cared for."
