Here at CHOOMTI
we would like to greet you
with our greeting :
Namaskar !
Which actually means that...
"We salute the
Supreme Consciousness within you with all the divine charms of our mind, and
with all the love and cordiality of our heart..."
Most people in India use "Namaste"...
Which is a beautiful greeting, and is used
widely throughout India...
Hand Gestures :
"Namaste
(Mudra)" is where the
palms of the hands are placed together in prayer-like position (in front of your
chest)
this is to express
honour to the inner light or the Creator...
Namaskar is a greeting to each other...
where the palms of the hands are placed together in prayer-like position,
and
then touch the centre point of the forehead (mind) and then the chest (heart)...
It is merely just a different interpretation
and understanding of the ancient Sanskrit.
